Jacob & Diana

Jake’s death is such a tragedy for all that knew him.  It is a horrible loss when a wonderful person, such as Jake, is taken from this world at such a young age. We need more kind and loving people that impact and influence this often-dark world in a positive way.  Jake was that to the world around him.  Much of my relationship with Jake has been seen through the eyes of my daughter, Kailey and her best friend Daniel, Jake’s husband.  Daniel and Jake were great partners in business, shared interests and talents. They loved connecting with others, especially through creating and sharing delicious food and art. I saw the joy and love Daniel and Kailey both felt toward Jake as they got to know the wonderful man he was.  He truly was a light in their world.  Although my time spent with Jake was always with other people around, I still felt valued by him.  He was curious and intentional about asking questions as he wanted to know and see those that were around him.  His desire to help and serve others was seen in so many ways, from working for “World Relief” as a case manager to serving delicious soup to his guests at his wedding.  I am so grateful to have experienced the sweet ripple effect of the loving impact he had on others in his short well lived life.
