Jacob & JL
I didnt know Jacob personally, just met him once right before he left for New Orleans. We stopped by right after Christmas because that was our only day off. We were sad to see howdy was closed because this place was so high on our bucket list, but to our surprise, he opened the door just to say hi. I don’t believe he knew it then, but he truly made our day when he one of our drink vouchers. We followed howdy throughout the whole journey of creating your beautiful small business to the last visit at the bagel spot that inspired Howdy. We too are small business owners and have looked up to Jacob & Daniel as role models. There are not many places that really make their awareness known beyond Tacoma and to us, that is a huge item to even accomplish. You have done such amazing things to our community and gave Tacoma one more place to visit. This loss is so big in our hearts and community. You represented such a gem; a dream that it IS possible to keep going as a small biz. This loss really hit home - and we can’t put into words why, but it just does. This goes out to Daniel & everyone who has been affected by Jacob’s passing. We are truly devastated and sorry for your loss. We are keeping you in our prayers. Its beautiful to see that Tacoma will keep Jacob’s soul alive. And that is something we will do for Howdy.
