Jacob & Sam M.
It's said that first impressions set a precedent for the rest of the connection—Jake left an everlasting impression from our first encounter. Jake and Daniel were two of the first people I met when I moved to Tacoma from Los Angeles. Saying they exude warmth and unrelenting kindness would be an understatement. Jake was so kind during every interaction, and I deeply regret that we couldn't make his dinner plan offerings work and connect further during our two-year acquaintance.
Jake and Daniel exhibit the dedication and passion many think of when envisioning "the American dream." Watching them start their business from the ground up, starting at home, moving into creating the longest line at the Proctor farmers market, and opening their beautiful brick-and-mortar establishment, I rooted (and still do) for them every step of the way.
The attached picture is one of the only pictures I have that tie back to Jake—winning their Howdy Bagel Halloween contest. It is a fond memory and will forever remind me of my positive association with Jake. Howdy lives in the heart of the Tacoma community, and Jake's light will forever shine within that community and beyond.
Heaven has another reason to howdy.
