Jacob & Kate
These photos are from a week Jacob spent in Kansas City in 2019 to observe my sourdough bakery and cafe. We foraged for mushrooms and pawpaws, and came back with a haul! He processed tons of pawpaws and froze the pulp so I could use it through the winter. He went back to Seattle with some pawpaw seeds, which he planted and successfully grew in Seattle. He became a bit of a pawpaw spokesperson, as his love and obsession with the strange tropical fruit native to the Midwest was shared with his friends, family and through Howdy.
