Sahara Desert Trip: Jacob & Josiah

During our travels through North Africa, Jacob, Justin, Andrew, & I came across a family that was running a small business planning tourism packages in Tunisia. So, as with so many instances, we said "how can we help?" This then resulted in us seeking out content to create a promotional video for why Tunisia is the place to visit. We wanted to make it epic so this family could get a bit of support for their business. For the next week and a half, we had an absolute laugh of a time. This adventure resulted in riding camels through the Sahara Desert, Cliff jumping into the Mediterranean, parasailing over the edge of the city, finding some of the only rooftop bars and hotels where we could try local beers, & running through wheat fields listening to Sylvan Esso.

One of my favorite memories from this time is when we met up with some locals who put us on camels and took us out into the Sahara Desert. We traveled for hours until all you could see was sand and sky. That night we slept under the stars, and to be honest I can't remember a thing of what we talked about, but I remember the four of us staying up late chatting together until we all drifted off to sleep. The next morning we packed up the camels and headed back out of the desert. I remember laughing with Jacob in a moment heading back to the city, when we realized we were smoking a Camel cigarette, on the back of a camel, in the Sahara Desert. Unforgettable.
